Open to builders, developers, architects and land planners with communities and projects both within the United States and internationally, the Gold Nugget Awards attracted over 685 entries in 2016.

Paintbrush Assisted Living and Memory Care was one of five national finalists for the Best Senior Housing Community in Assisted Living and was presented with the Award of Merit.

No other senior living community in the Central Valley / Fresno has ever received this distinction and Paintbrush is proud to have earned this honor.

Bryan N. Wagner, Partner at Wagner & Wagner, of the Paintbrush ownership group, said: “We are delighted to be recognized for the design of Paintbrush Assisted Living and Memory Care. Doug Pancake of Douglas Pancake Architects did a great job with the design and the beautifully appointed interiors are by Warner Design Associates.

“Special thanks to the Kristi Silkwood Mattes and Frank Bigelow and their families, owners of Ponderosa Communications, Inc., for their unwavering financial support, to Dennis Bacopulos for his tireless work as project manager, and to Quiring Construction for bringing the project in on-time and under budget.

“Best of all, the design has become part of what makes Paintbrush special for our residents, for our staff and for the community at large.”
